Boston to Ireland....

Rachael took video with her ipod of lighting in the clouds from the airplane ride to Boston.

Final security check to board the ship...almost on the ship!

Sailing overnight to Halifax, Canada to pick up the students, and loving the new ipods.

Good Morning Halifax!
The giant wave was still there after 2 years, and it was the first thing the girls wanted to see.

We met cousin Emily in Halifax, she made it! We were all very happy to see her and have her join us for our voyage on the ship.

The girls have no problem finding new friends on the ship right away, both old and young.

Happy Birthday Emily! What an adventurous way to start your 18th year!
Mug shots of all the school age kids on the ship. Only 13 kids this voyage!
The astronaut Kathy Thorton sailed with us and gave a presentation to the ship about her adventures working for Nasa, and living and working in space.

Kathy came and talked to the kids and answered questions, everyone loved it! Rachael adored having Kathy talk to them, especially when Kathy talked about the Hubble telescope and Rachael realized it was the same telescope they talked about at school!

Getting ready for Ireland by creating some Limericks together.

Learning some Irish folk music with "Drama Doug"

Here is a video singing "Irish Eyes are Smiling" with drama Doug

Riley is focused on making a birthday card for her sister.

Yummy ice cream birthday cake for the whole class!

Happy (early) birthday Rachael.  Again!
Crossing the Alantic we encountered some rough seas.  After 4 days of losing an hour of sleep from time changes and seasickness getting any work done was challenging. Emily and Rachael "studying", Pay attention to the way the ocean moves from view in the back window and the curtains moving we were rocking!

Cold North Atlantic sunset.
